history
Summarized nonsense: Ends up being born in Kugane with her twin sister Saran. Her parents having left the Steppe for reasons still unknown to her. At the age of five they end up leaving Kugane to try for Eorzea along with a handful of other Xaela who decided that they may as well see if they can settle themselves into a new land.

She shares being warrior of light with her friend Gale. Gale takes the primary healer/ranged role. Nagi takes the tank/physical dps class role.
During the brief lull between Stormblood and Shadowbringers she marries her boyfriend Ochault basically on a dare. They marry at the Gold Saucer because "do it you won't" mentality. They're smart people.
Starts as Dragoon but ends up transitioning to Dark Knight after certain events in Heavensward. Does still occasionally shift back to Dragoon to jump at people and lance them.
Probably sitting around in armor most of the time because no one gets the jump on her. She's not keen on being stabbed in the back possible literally.

personality
Nagi is a woman who is confident and is well-known to be a person who thrives on fighting. While she does have some personal issues with the chosen one status that's given by hydaelyn, she does take it as a chance to basically go fighting. She's not the most thoughtful of people although she does try. Trying for her normally involves some variant of "Come on do it you won't". It is her own varying attempts to help. One could say that her attempts to help are born from that expectation that she's supposed to help...which is pretty accurate.
Nagi does not attach herself to many people. She is good at acting fairly friendly with people but she does struggle to connect with people. Whether it's because she simply doesn't actually understand a custom or because she pulled the trigger too early and picked a fight/insulted someone. It's a self-inflicted issue that she considers to be more on other people than on her. Of course she does sometimes remember that she has an image to maintain. The problem being that it is a only remembers sometimes problem.
That said if she does pick someone up on a close connection level she'll basically become like little attack dog. Don't mess with her people because she may or may not go right away to harsh words which can easily escalate into "Fight me".

Nagi, being a xaela auri, in somewhat inheritably a fighter. Followed by being a warrior of light she's capable of picking up nearly any fighting style if given time and training. That said in spite of that she says she safely struggles in terms of ranged/magical offense. She is very much a up close and personal fighter. She has a preference for weapons that are larger then her. Polearms. Bastard swords/claymores. Spears and the like. She's agile but given that she's normally on the front lines she mostly tanks damage for other people.
She cannot manipulate aether on purpose outside of combat. She can use it for a shield (like blackest night) in combat situations but ask her to do it outside of a life and death situation and she's got nothing. Similarly while she can use a bow she doesn't because it requires better aim and focus on a singular point than she can do.

Weight: 140lbs
Hair: Middle of the back length, white, generally fluffy/wavy. Normally she has it up in some fashion. Ponytail, braids, whatever. NOTE: Post 5.0 fight she ends up with a scar on her face. 5.3 is when she chops her hair short once they return to the Source. Grows it back out during Endwalker.
Eyes: Light blue with a darker blue limbal ring. After the last trial/fight of Endwalker the sclera of her eyes turns black and her eyes become slit due to spoiler influences
Normal outfits: 1 2
Useless information: She has a lot of scales. She has them all over her arms, sides, underside of her breasts, and the outside of her thighs. Examples coming soon to a person near you.
Useless Fun Facts
1: She is an awful cook. She's so bad at it she's eaten meat raw before because at least that way she knows she hasn't screwed up and turned it into some sort of offensive rubbery substances.
2: She has a better sense of hearing than she lets on. She's prone to pretending to not pay attention out of ear-shot because never underestimate the power of horns.
3: She has no last name. When asked she does use the name "Horo" albeit that's only because she recalls her parents using it in a similar fashion growing up. 9 times out of 10 she simply omits it entirely.
4: Events of Shadowbringers are the first time she starts actually scarring from battles. As such she has one along her face from the one time she didn't wear a helm and a few across her torso and back.
5: The only reason she wakes up before midday is for training. Otherwise she would sleep in because she hates the morning, hates sunrises but her need to keep her fighting capabilities up is why she gets out of bed.
Friends/Companions
Ochault Faubir Her husband. Generally does incredibly stupid things, prone to being selfish and honestly his most redeeming factor is his unwavering devotion to her. Tries to follow her everywhere he can possibly go.
Gale Reinhardt Her best friend, fellow warrior of light and the person who heals her dumbass. Generally prone to sassing people, probably daydreaming about being back in Ishgard with Aymeric. Usually the more emotional one of the two of them. She very much teases him like he's her younger brother.
Saran Horo her younger twin sister. Despite being apart for a bit more than a decade, they still very much worry about each other. To Nagi, she thinks her sister is the nicest person on the star. Give the shirt off her back for others.
Leon Rainteau Gale's twin brother. Loyal temple knight of Ishgard and also the person whose dating her younger sister. Took Nagi a while to get over the weirdness of their respective twins dating but she likes Leon. Even if he's prone to being too wrapped up in work. She'd adopt his cat too if he'd let her.
